I haven't ridden in a Corvair since the mid-60's (and, haven't really wanted to, either). In fact, I've only seen a couple in the last 40 years. They're definitely a collectors item.

My brother-in-law owned one back then, and, I can remember a couple pretty hairy winter trips to the pizza shop, which was located at "Pine Hill", near the intersection of Rt. 20A and Rt. 39. I can still remember the feeling of "flying", whenever we'd hit a big snowdrift. The front end, being so light, would literally be a couple feet off the roadway. Then, when it came back down, the back tires would find traction, and, we'd be off again. It was kinda fun, when you're a "kid", but, I wouldn't want to do it nowadays (the only "snow" I see anymore is when the TV loses its cable connection).
