A news item such as this begs explanation. A fence on fire?! If it were a bra, draft card, picture of mother-in-law or poodle, none would be needed. Was this a feud between neighbors? ...a case of too much charcoal lighter on the barbecue? ...North Korean rocket launch?
C.M., your guess is as good as mine. This was all I heard and all I reported. Perhaps the "blaze" was the result of cheap tiki torches, the kind we buy and love to use, which were staked too closely to the fence. At any rate, the conflagration was short-lived. Time marches on.
