the user name was obscured to protect the innocent from honestly expressing what they wanted to say.

I enjoy using the batavian to express my opinions, photo's, news, and views.

You have the right  to your real name or user name.

This allows me to join and feel comfortable.

I hope that every person that "expresses their views" here will feel comfortable.

It's nice that you shared your real name. We encourage real names. The people who will run afoul of us are those who use fake or anonymous names to hide personal and vicious attacks.

I still choose to keep my username as it is but if I ever viciously attack someone I will be sure to sign my name.

Otherwise I hope that any user curious enough to know my name will be able to see it in my blog.

I also am aware that if someone wants to harrass me for my point of view or comments they can now find out anything they want (address,phone,etc) and take it further than this website.

I guess it's a double-edged sword.
