If where a government of the people, than we should be aware of the horrible things the people that represent us do around the world.
If you feel the release of these cable's has put us in danger try to critically think about this.
A report from the International Council on Security and Development (ICOS) shows that 92 percent of those surveyed had never heard of the coordinated multiple attacks on US soil on September 11, 2001. It also shows that four in 10 Afghans believe the US is on their soil in order to "destroy Islam or occupy Afghanistan."
I have to think the families of the 100,000 innocent citizens that we have killed might have some ill-feelings towards the people of this country. That's more dangerous than some outdated communication from our military.

A reminder: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Terry,
There is reason for the government to keep secrets. Do you think that the frequencies on which the military communicates with itself should be public knowledge?
