Space Camp rocket adorns local front yard

By Howard B. Owens

Driving back from the Elba Onion Festival, I happened down Weathermax Road and spotted this rocket pointed toward the stars in somebody's front yard. Nobody was home, so I couldn't get more information, but the rocket reads "Pack #17 Space Camp" and on the tail fin, "09 Ethan Austin Holden."  It looks like Ethan constructed himself a nice rocket.  Look for him to join the team at NASA soon.

Ethan, Austin, Holden and their dad's worked really hard on that float. They had just returned from Camp Sam Wood on Monday befor the carnival and the Theme for camp was Space Camp and thought it was very appropriate. Thank you Howard for showing off there hard work!

We saw it on our way home, too.
Wasn't sure if it was a float on the parade (we only saw part of the parade); or a camp out at the house. It was well done.
Way to go Ethan, Austin and Holden (and the Dads)
