Today's Poll: Do you think the state Legislature is serious about ethics reform?

By Howard B. Owens

Who are the three people that actually said yes? I wonder if they live in NY!!! :-)

How funny the one thing that we all agree on is that our government will stay corrupt!!!!

There have been times I've expected polls to be lopsided one way or the other, and they haven't been. There have also been times, when I was right, but the margin has never been like this.

Howard, I think this survey, although not scientific, holds enough credibility by virtue of its inclusion in a standing publication to warrant forwarding to our local representatives.

Well it is notable, as Phil said, that this group found something to agree on.

But while I'm normally a pretty optimistic sort of fella, I'm not sure who we could send it to that would even remotely care. Those who would care probably aren't part of the problem.

Yeah!! What he said!!
If you're an incumbent for state office this fall, I'm voting against you...no ifs, ands or buts.
You are officially part of the problem...it couldn't get much worse.
(and yes, I know this may be perceived as as stupid position, but it's MY stupid position)

I'm thinkin' the 11 yes votes are from Hiram Monserrate, Pedro Espada and their staffs. Congratulations Howard, The Batavian is being read in Albany. Who'd have guessed?
