Law and Order: Man accused of stealing can of gas from parked vehicle at Batavia Downs

John Matthew Stassen, 67, of Moscow Road, Hamlin, is charged with petit larceny. Stassen is accused of stealing a gas can full of gas from a vehicle that was parked in the Batavia Downs parking lot at 7:32 p.m., Aug. 26.

Lol Lori, he stole the gasoline from me. I filled the gas can and had it tied to the tool box in the bed of the pickup truck. He was seen taking it from the truck on video. They then followed him back into the casino (on video) and to the machine he was playing with his club card. I've a feeling that this is going to be an expensive 5 gallons. $4 per gallon is going to seem like a bargain when it's all done.

Don't forget all the administrative and punative fees we came up with Doug.... Heck we should all be in county govt with all the money grabbing ideas we had lol.

Doug was so quick to post a comment that it was up before Facebook picked up the feed, so FBs computer assumed Doug's profile pic went with the story. Nothing I can do about.

How the place operates? It really sucks not to win, but nobody is forced to keep shoving their money into the machine. Gamblers can't blame the casino any more than a criminal can blame the victim.

"Hey, if he didn't have the gasoline unlocked in the back of his truck, I never would've taken it!"

Grow a pair..everything is a choice, so take responsibility for what you do.
