Yeah when are people going to learn? To mind their own god damn business. I was there for this, the car was on, with the ac running. The dog had a bowl of water on the passenger seat floor. There was even a thermometer on the dash showing it was a nice 72 degrees in the car. Which coincidentally was also parked at the edge of the lot, in the shade. Get a life you loser's that call the police because you think you know better what other should do.

Mind your own business ? I would have called the police too. Why take a chance ? What if it was a child ? Would you be positive the AC was on , or would you say let's maybe potentially save a life and have someone check ? Things do happen !!! Better safe. In this heat you just shouldn't take a chance. And if the ac was on and the dog was cool, then the owners had nothing to worry about when the police did arrive. If it was me, I sure would understand being questioned. And NY the way, I found out the hard way it is illegal to leave a car running unattended. Even outside your own home

When it's 72 degrees Fahrenheit outside, the temperature inside your car can heat up to 116 degrees Fahrenheit within an hour. When it's 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside, the temperature inside your car can heat up to 99 degrees Fahrenheit within 10 minutes.
