Tall man wearing Adidas flip-flops and tan summer clothes reportedly flees Rite Aid with cologne

By Billie Owens

A larceny of cologne just occurred at the Rite Aid on West Main Street Road, Batavia. The suspect fled the store and left in a vehicle, unknown type or description, but possibly black in color. Unknown direction of travel.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6' tall, wearing tan shorts and top and "Adidas flip-flops." Store personnel say they have the theft on video. Law enforcement is responding.

I'm a bonafide perfume snob. I know it's superficial. Anything that comes off the shelf at Rite Aid and doesn't warrant keeping under lock and key in their perfume/cologne display case isn't usually worth having; there are a couple exceptions perhaps, Jean Nate and Old Spice come to mind. But Axe for men -- forget about it -- or anything that Paris Hilton ever OK'd no matter where it's located. I saw a fragrance called "Justin Bieber's Girlfriend" -- the last thing in the world I'd want to smell like. I'm guessing this alleged cologne thief didn't have any fragrance on and wanted to "spruce up" before making his connection. No word on the brand stolen. But no taste, no class, except for the Adidas -- too bad they were flip-flops though -- more likely they were "shower shoes" -- sandals. (The only Adidas I like are stark white old-school sneakers with the three black stripes on the side.)
