Batavian Dan Hosek will give a talk on "The History of Comic Books" at the Richmond Memorial Library on Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. This former assistant editor at Marvel Comics is also a comic book creator and a longtime comic book fan. His talk will include history from the early days of Superman, created in 1938, to the modern superheroes with slides and examples. He will give an additional talk on comic book creation on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. Registration is not required.
