Funding sources for small businesses
Small business owners concerned about the economy's downturn and its effect on their bottom line are encouraged to attend a free "strive and thrive" workshop.
It's sponsored by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
It takes place Saturday morning, April 25 and you must pre-register. The topic is "Funding Sources in Today's Economy." It will provide small business owners with practical information and recommendations from leaders in economic development, entrepreneurship and lending. Learn ways to market, grow and educate people about your small business.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the first seminar running from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. about the programs and services available from the U.S. Small Business Administration. A question-and-answer follows until 9:45, then a break until 10. The second and final seminar starts at 10 and goes until 11:30, followed by Q&A. This one focuses on financial opportunities for small businesses.
To reserve a spot for this free event, contact exective assistant Melissa A. George at 343-7440, ext. 27.
