Nancy L. Zimpher, PhD, the State University of New York's 12th Chancellor, is visiting all 64 SUNY campuses in her first three months as the new SUNY Chancellor.

Her tour will stop at Genesee Community College Thursday, July 23. Chancellor Zimpher will meet with faculty, students and Genesee president Stuart Steiner, PhD, throughout the day.

This summer tour allows Chancellor Zimpher to meet with and learn from the many people who share a love for SUNY and the commitment to its future, and who understand the critical role the system plays in New York's economic future.

The tour marks the first step in the creation of a SUNY-wide strategic plan, which will be completed next spring. The planning process will be a model for statewide collaborations -- gathering suggestions, ideas and comments from thousands of stakeholders through town hall meetings, on-line conferences and other outreach efforts.
