Wednesday Aug.5 is Genesee ARC Night at the Muckdogs' game at Dwyer Stadium.

It will also be the regional celebration of NYSARC’s (our State ARC’s) 60th Anniversary.

Prior to Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. game, ARC will hold a ceremonial walk with celebration information narrated over the PA system. The walk will be held along the gravel area from the first base line to the third base line.

Along with representatives from Genesee ARC, the following NYSARC chapters will be represented: Orleans, Niagara, Monroe counties and the West Seneca Developmental Center NYSARC Chapter. Two representatives from the NYSARC State Office, Susan Brandt and Mary Myers, will also attend and join in the march.

This regional celebration is leading up to a statewide celebration in Albany on Sept. 17.  The theme of NYSARC’s 60th Anniversary is "People. Progress. Potential."

Joining us for pre-game festivities will be a group of Challenger Baseball players. An individual served by ARC will be throwing out the first pitch. The National Anthem will be sung by Genesee ARC’s Director of Operations Joe Sacco. Joe is a retired Albion Police Officer and proud graduate of the Eastman School of Music.

The first 500 people at the game will receive an ARC/Muckdogs Frisbee handed out by individuals who attend our Family Support Program.
