While driving around looking to see where the BOCES house is being built, I saw my first snowman of the year-on corner of Valley and Woodlawn(?) Drive off of South Main-the kids were already back in the house(or out of sight)-the snowman was about 3' tall, but I have a dumb phone,so no pics,sorry......

A big El Nino is purported to make this an unseasonably warmer, drier winter, so I've read, but it sure seems early. We still haven't pruned the roses for winter dormancy, covered the picnic table, or even put away the lawn furniture...

Don't worry Billie, you can do that this week-supposed to be in the 60's and sunny...... just wish my grass would stop growing,I'm tired of mowing it......I haven't been able to skip a week yet this year.....

LOL Tim I have had that song going thru my head all weekend. Glad to see I'm not the only one. I can complain sometimes about the weather. But in all honestly except for 8yrs in the service. I have lived in central and western NY all my life. When I was away from NY I did miss the weather here.

One thing about NY weather though.....No matter where you are in it all you have to do is wait, cause it will always change. From 2" of snow in mid Aug. to 75 deg days in Feb it will always throw you a surprise...
