Batavia PD looking for help in locating dog that bit boy near John Kennedy School

Batavia Police are looking for assistance in locating the owner of a dog that bit a 9-year-old male on 09/10/12 around 7:30 a.m. on Vine Street near John Kennedy School. The dog owner is described as a white male with gray hair. The dog is described as medium-large, dark brown, possibly a pit bull, and possibly named "Riley." Police need to speak to the owner to verify vaccination records. The owner of this dog, or anyone with information is asked to contact Batavia Police at (585) 345-6350.

And those statistics mean exactly what Scott... The fact that Pit Bulls can be mean and nasty when raised to be that way means that more ignorant owners have access to the breed. They are the only breed that you can find for almost nothing and alot wanna be "g"s raise them to be nasty and deadly, as well as drug dealers breeding them to protect property they have interest in.

I have been around Pit's that have been raised properly and let me tell you they are the biggest babies around. If in fact you look at statistics it's mixed breed pit that are the most dangerous the most unpredictable being Pit - Lab mixes. Instead of just supporting popular urban myth and legend why dont you try educating yourself. The bullet you refer to shouldnt be used on a the breed but the owners instead that train their dogs. Just like dobermans rotweilers and other breeds that were once considered evil breeds its all about the pop image, not reality.
