Drug task force announces arrest of three people in Batavia

By Howard B. Owens

In separate investigations, the Local Drug Enforcement Task Force announced the arrest of three Batavia residents allegedly involved in drugs.

Accused of dealing cocaine is Juan A. Roman, 33, of Walnut Street.

Roman allegedly sold a quantity of cocaine to an undercover agent.

An arrest was made Tuesday by task force members and Batavia police officers after Roman was seen walking on Main Street.

He is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, 3rd, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, 3rd.

Following his arraignment before Judge Robert C. Noonan, Roman was jailed without bail.

Arrested on Monday were Nicholas A. Pleace, 24, of Pratt Road and Suzan M. Fincher, 51, of Pratt Road.

Pleace and Fincher are accused of growing 19 marijuana plants at their residence on Pratt Road. They were also allegedly found in possession of cocaine and oxycodone.

The were both charged with criminal possession of marijuana, 2nd, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, 7th.

The pair were released under the supervision of Genesee Justice following an arraignment in front of Justice Mike Cleveland, Town of Batavia Court.

Jason,
First, I believe Roman is Hispanic.
Second, possession may not be as serious as selling and dealing.
Third, we also don't know from this any prior criminal history. But it's good to know you see a racist behind every tree again.

Jason, Are you serious . You make something out of nothing . Lets compare apples to oranges . Growing pot is even leagal is some states (medical with a license ) . Cocain will never be legal and should never be or anything else that is chemically transformed into drugs . Not only did he have the cocain but sold it to a undercover . My question is how did the police nab the pot growers , there must be a narc out there in the midst of you pot users that didn't like the weight of the bag , so they blew in there source (double edged sword ) .

Charlie Sheen says he smokes 7 gram rocks of crack in one sitting. I'm not worried about anyone growing God's Herb as medicine and it is all medicine. No one has ever died from pot overdose. It doesn't happen and it very well may protect against cancer. I think that's a stretch but Scientific Study seems to confirm it.
They got busted because there is no honor among thieves and snitch rats and because Richard Nixon ignored the findings of the panel he put together to study marijuana when they said it should be legal for personal use in one's home. I say: "Hey you, stay off of my cloud."

Jason, racism starts out as a chip on your shoulder and eventually becomes a mountain of weight. You better brush off that chip or it's just going to become too much of a burden for you to carry around.

The things you say on thebatavian actually "are" racist. What it amounts to is bigotry.

BIGOTRY - A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs. The predominant usage in modern English refers to persons hostile to those of differing race, ethnicity, nationality, inter-regional prejudice, gender and sexual orientation, homelessness, various medical disorders particularly behavioral disorders and addictive disorders and religion or spirituality.

Doug,
As a side note, a Juan Roman was arrested twice in 2008. Once for Unlawful imprisonment (1st), Assault (3rd) and Petit Larceny.

The second time was for DWI.

It could be another Juan Roman, but I don't think so. Maybe Jason knows?
