Love The Batavian? Thank a sponsor.

By Howard B. Owens

It's always gratifying when I'm at some public event and a fan of The Batavian comes up to me and tells me how much he or she loves the site. The word "addiction" pops up frequently.

Often times I remind the fan, "If you love The Batavian, tell our sponsors."

With out the local businesses who support The Batavian, the site wouldn't exist.

So, please, when you shop or dine, try to support a local business first, and the local businesses you should support first and foremost are the ones that help keep The Batavian going.

To help you in your quest to support sponsors of The Batavian, here's an updated list:

Yes, thank you to all the sponsors of The Batavian, I know I appreciate it.

Howard, this is quite an impressive list, you know you're dong something right if all these small business people are paying to be on the site. Advertising is a very hard investment to track, and for a small business like most of these sponsors, it's very important to maximize the impact of every dollar spent, many are forced to decide on a very limited basis where to advertise and where not to. So as Howard asked, please tell these businesses, you saw their ad on The Batavian, so they'll know these dollars are well spent.

Glassroots rules and I think you should check them out and utilize their services. Everyone needs more chill and feel good time. President Obama is going to make it mandatory in 2012 so you might as well get on the bandwagon now. Power to the people of Bahtahvia! 4eva.
Howard, you give cool a whole new meaning.

I would imagine that each advertiser is well aware of how many people come to this site, and how many people click on their ad. Each of those clicks represents a potential customer.
One of Howard's biggest selling points is showing the number of views his site receives which in turn translates into how many people see any given ad.
Unlike many sites, Howard has retained a good portion of the screen to content. That is an A+ in my book.
Well done, Howard, well done.

The Batavian is the only place I spend my advertising dollars at this point. I thank you Howard for all of your hard work and dedication to this site and local businesses.
