After a brief bit of rain, it turned out to be a beautiful evening for trick-or-treating in Batavia. Of course, the biggest crowds of ghouls and goblins and superheros and princesses could be found on Ellicott Avenue, but there are a couple of shots here from Trumbull Parkway, Otis Street and Osterhout.

You should've come to South Lyon Street (in the City)!
There were Halloween lights, strobe lights, a fog machine, spiderwebs, scary music and sounds ... and TONS of candy!! Plus, new haunted things are added every year! Some houses even try to stay available for trick-or-treaters until 10pm!!
So, next year, send your little ghosts and goblins to South Lyon Street! We have SAFE and FRIENDLY houses to approach for all your trick-or-treating enjoyment!

LOL Great Job everyone..... THIS is the type of stories we all need to battle some of the negativity we focus on here in Batavia. All this was done without prompting, as a true example of community spirit with no government backing or involvement.
It can be done people and these little moments slip by us with so little notice. They should be the things dominating our communities news instead of shot fired and garbage (literally) LOL
While I respect the history of Halloween I still enjoy the interpretation of it we have today as fun and free. With just a glimmer of history and scariness thrown in.
