A fire alarm summoned volunteers East Pembroke Fire Department to a home on Slusser Road this morning.
After the alarm went out, a dispatcher said a caller informed him it was only a fire in the oven.
The dispatcher offered that perhaps a turkey caught fire.
When clearing the scene, an East Pembroke chief informed the dispatcher, "it was only a pie," then added, "Happy Turkey day."
"Thank you, and same to you," replied the dispatcher.
