The savings account serves as a temporary resting place for cash to be transferred out to pay bills. It is drained weekly.
In other words, all of the above is true for me, too.
We have four different savings accounts...the house account... a health savings account... my personal slush fund account...her personal slush fund account. TOTAL interest earned on all...almost 3 per cent !! (I said ALMOST..)
