Today's Poll: Do you think 420 Emporium in Batavia sells bath salts?

By Howard B. Owens
C. M. Barons

If the 420 Emporium continues to sell amphetamine derivatives despite the FDA ban, the NYS Health Commissioner's ban, NYS AG's lawsuits against businesses that sell amphetamine derivatives, local outrage, media attention, an angry mother, a revved-up Rosemary Christian and a civil protest... They haven't achieved an adequate level of paranoia. Essentially, their legal adviser needs to stop sampling the product.

C.M., a priceless comment. You are to be commended, particularly with "a revved-up Rosemary Christian." I say these purveyors are doomed.

So many times in interviews or what not I'm talking to people and I want to say "amped up on bath salts," and I have bit my tongue a few times, because it starts to sound like (to me) a bad (as in inappropriate) pun.

But it rolls of the tongue.

Howard, I was informed by an unnamed person, that salts will not be available in the Batavia Store, legal or not.
I believe the owners had a change of heart when learning young children live close to the shop.
I also believe they don't want to contribute to this problem now, and moving forward.

Thats nice Frank and why should we believe that. It was reported by this site that they stopped selling it a week or two ago. That having been said right to Rose Mary Christian.... so why believe this revelation of yours now?

Frank, is your source a store employee or second hand?

Did the source say "bath salts" or "synthetic drugs"? In other words, have they stopped selling "plant food," "tie dye capsules" and "lady bug attractant," etc.?

They didn't know young children lived close when they opened a store within 20 feet a neighborhood zoned residential?

Why would a store owner who, based on available evidence, allegedly sold apparently sold synthetic drug products with all of the ethical problems that go with that decision suddenly become ethical and not want to "contribute to this problem now"?

Howard, yes, to your first question, and that is all I can say with any certainty. Not second hand.
Kyle, click "y" again.
As for the rest of your questions,Howard, you would be better suited to ask those questions.
I started observing this situation long before 420 came to Batavia, and I haven't seen any behaviors that are not prevalent with any substance abuse, only the degree of the behavior is heightened on the synthetic speed.
Someone I know and love started using salts back when it was being sold on the rez., so I do have some insight.

Cowards...by exchanging opinions together, we could better address the problem.

Hahahaha Frank you dont exchange opinions here, you inject your perceptions of truth in here an demean anyone else that has a contrary opinion or viewpoint. So go ahead and click (y) on that.

Kyle, I won't lower myself to debate stupidity with you, after all, you think alcohols intented purpose is socializing. And stop blaming me for words that come out of your mouth.
Most of what I have said can be backed up by facts, the rest through experience, you just keep running at the mouth whether you can back up your words or not.
I'm not trying to have a pissing contest, just trying to let people know all drugs can be dangerous when abused. That list includes alcohol, whether you like it or not, Kyle.

My facts are accurate as well.... The stupidity is not on my part at all. You have made your own bed in here, you even complain about and bully people for giving you thumbs down and negative votes. Why would that be? This is a forum and so far your the only one in your corner with your supposed facts. Everey time I bring up facts you dont want to hear it cause your exp trumps people who study this for a living.

Your getting boring and repetative so this will be my last post to this matter. I have to remember your "opinions" dont change reality at all.

Thank God, Kyle, neither do yours, I can back up every word I have said here Kyle, you can't. That would be reality.
I was one of the very first to post on the dangers of salts use on this site, as well as reporting 420 was coming to Batavia.
Your opinions mean as much to me as mine mean to you.Thats life, get over yourself.
Kyle ,I don't call asking someone to share their opinion bullying, but if it was miscontrued as bullying, I apologize.
If you are employed in the field of substance abuse, you better get a new career, or go back to school. Any program I have been involved with teaches abstinence from all drugs, including alcohol.
Thats not an opinion, thats a fact.
