Today's Poll: Is the Earth endangered by human overpopulation?

By Howard B. Owens

Like Thomas's comment I dont believe we endanger anything but our own selves and our place on this planet. This planet needs alot more than us to endanger it.

Human overpopulation will never endanger the earth. Overpopulation only endangers the people. The earth has been here 4.5 BILLION years and has seen far worse things happen than humans crawling around on it. It's only a matter of time before an asteroid hits, a super volcano like Yellowstone erupts or so many other unforeseen dangers happen and sends the earth into a nuclear winter for years. So many people will no longer be around to tell the tale. It sounds bleak, and it is. There've been 5 mass extinction events and lots of lesser events. We can't hurt the earth. It takes care of itself just fine.

Mother Nature loves everyone. God is scary with a penchant for violent behavior, if I believe the teachers, which I don't.
