We all know how this plays out..Even though many want them to receive no more funding..They ask for 50,000 which they know they won't get ,Council counters with 25,000 and tell us how they tried to please all....Political games played out on a local level..Its reelection time......
First it was for one year, then it was two. Now, not only a third year, but they want a 25% increase in our money. And you just know next year they will want even more.
As 1st Ward Councilman Doeringer said, the idea was to pay somebody on the outside and not hire a new City employee. But then he went ahead and OK'd the hiring of a new employee anyway, the new Assistant City Manager.
Let the Assistant Manager take this job on. Or get rid of the Assistant Manager job to pay for VB.
They have already proven they
They have already proven they can raise money to sustain themselves.
Even mother bird knows when to let her babies fly on their own.
We taxpayers have been more than generous to date to get them started.
They need to grow up and care for themselves now.

There will be another poll in November, called the elections. The Council members who vote to give them money will have to defend it in the election.
