Weather: Snow in the forecast for Thursday night

By Howard B. Owens

We're not quite out of October, there's still leaves on some trees, but snow is in the forecast a little more than 24 hours from now.

There's a 70-percent chance of precipitation, according to the forecast, for Thursday night, with temperatures dipping to 30 degrees.

At this point, there's no prediction of a strong storm -- just cold and wet.

George Richardson

There is a 70% chance you will be participating in a snowy wet precipitation whether you opt out or go all in. Just don't drag your trick or treat bag on the ground, next Monday, or you will lose much of the candy before you get home. I am the voice of the ghost of experience talking to you, from fifty years past.

George - you should've listened to the mama cows talking to their little daughter cows - " Now, don't drag your bag, dear. "

You can sate your snow fix by driving down to Wyoming County. I just got back from Letchworth State Park and the snow falling amidst the foliage is absolutely "gorgeous".
