Last night a portion of Main Street was closed off to traffic in front of St. Joe's for some music and fun with The Hit Men from Rochester featuring Batavia residents.

Yea Brian, simple set of rules! If you can read, they are written out pretty easy. I have followed a much broader set of rules racing horses my whole life for NY and other states and they were all presided over by that states gaming commission. When we break the rules we are fined by the gaming commission and have to pay the purse back which is what those guilty of the raffle frauds are lucky that they haven`t had to do as well. I understand that the fire departments are important but that doesn`t give them the right to collect money illegally does it? St. Joe`s seems to be following the rules, why didn`t the rest of them? Someone got greedy.
