Loraine Batchelor Stipp

Loraine Batchelor Stipp, of Corfu, NY, born May 8, 1928, died November 7, 2015, at the age of 87. Loraine was the wife of the late Roy E. Batchelor (died 1995) and Robert A. Stipp (died 2011). She was the loving mother of Susan (Daniel) Yox, (late Jeffrey), John, and Mark (late Sandi) Batchelor. Cherished grandmother of Ben Toth, James and Emily Yox, and Austin and Chase Batchelor. Loraine was the youngest of 6 children; only one survives her, Nelson Cronin, of Alden, NY. She has many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends in the Corfu community who enriched her life. She was a long-time member of the Corfu Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and on a number of church committees, spanning many decades. In the past, she was also active as a member of the Auxiliary of the Corfu Volunteer Fire Department. Graveside services will be private. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at the Corfu United Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall, 63 Allegheny Street, Corfu, NY, on Friday, November 20, from4-7 PM. There will also be a memorial service on Saturday, November 21, at 11 AM, at the church to celebrate Loraine’s life. Memorials may be made to a hospice of your choice or to the Corfu United Presbyterian Church PO Box 159 Corfu, NY 14036. Arrangements were made by C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc. 4 E. Main St., Corfu.
