Josephine J. Lawall, 93 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday (August 20, 2016) at United Memorial Medical Center.

She was born March 19, 1923, in Boston, NY, a daughter of the late Martin and Anna Zymowski Jagusiak.

Josephine was employed by Mallory Timers in Warsaw, NY prior to her retirement. She was also a waitress for the Glen Iris Inn in Letchworth State Park and at one time along with her husband operated a popcorn concession stand at the former Boulder Park in Indian Falls, NY. Josephine enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting, dancing, gardening and cooking.

She was the wife of the late Norman J. Lawall who died in 1978 and sister of the late Evelyn Balcerzak, Florence Stalica, Anthony Jagusiak, Chester Jagusiak, Sophie Grzybek and Clara Puzan.

Survivors include one sister, Irene Lewandowski of Batavia and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Wednesday (August 24th) from 4-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 11:00am at Ascension Parish (corner of Swan and Sumner Streets.). Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery, Warsaw, NY.
