Louis O'Geen, Jr.

LeRoy/Batavia - Louis G. O 'Geen, Jr., 95, of Batavia and formerly of LeRoy, died Friday (May 19, 2017) at the New York State Veteran's Home, in Batavia.

He was born January 4, 1922 in LeRoy, a son of the late Louis and Christina (Micelli) O'Geen, Sr.

Louis is a veteran, serving with the United States Navy.  He was a member of Resurrection Parish in Batavia and the Northwoods Sportsman's Club in LeRoy.  Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees and worked at Louis G. O'Geen & Sons in LeRoy.

Survivors include his children, Roberta Svendsen and Bob O'Geen, both of Rochester; two grandsons, Brian Svendsen of Rochester and Erik Svendsen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five great-grandchildren, Anna, Alexandra, Brenna, Emily and Caitlyn; a sister, Lena Pusateri of Rochester and nieces and nephews.

Louis is the husband of the late Anna O’Geen, father of the late Richard C. O'Geen and a brother of the late John O'Geen.  

There are no prior calling hours.  Louis’s Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.   Please leave a condolence, share a story or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
