Alfred "Chuck" Lippold

Alfred “Chuck” Lippold, 88, of Attica passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 1, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. He was born in Attica on November 3, 1928 to the late William and Anna (Pfalzer) Lippold. In addition to his parents, Chuck is predeceased by his wife; Beverly (Nixon) Lippold; sister Ruth Dudek.

Chuck was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean where he was a Sergeant of a bridge and road construction unit.  Chuck retired from Westinghouse in Attica where he worked for over 35 years. He was a member of the American Legion Attica Post. He loved to ride his bicycle all over Attica.  After years of riding, he upgraded to a scooter.  Chuck was an avid deer and pheasant hunter who also liked to trap. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids. On the weekends, he would work on roofing homes for extra money so he could take his wife Beverly dancing, something they loved to do.

He is survived by his children; Linda (Mark) Zimmermann of Corfu, Steven (Theresa) Lippold of Bergen and Lisa (Kevin) Cochrane of Attica; siblings Paul (Pat) Lippold of Oakfield, Doris Lindebauer of Batavia and Joan (Sam) O’Geen of LeRoy; 8 grandchildren Brandon, Cory, Austin, Renee, Steven, Alex, Justin and Lindsay; 4 great-grandchildren Ethan, Lukas, Drew and Jade along with several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his companion dog, Billy.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Friday November 3, 2017 from 3:00-7:00PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. A 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 4th at St. Joachim & Anne Parish 50 East Ave, in Attica. He will be laid to rest in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in Attica.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Attica Fire Dept. 11 Water St. Attica or the Gateway House 91 Main St. Attica, NY 14011.
