Bernadine I. Matteson

Bernadine I. Matteson, 79 of Bennington, passed away Monday May 18, 2015 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born October 28, 1935 in Weathersfield, New York to the late Francis (Irene Meyers) Romesser. She is preceded in death by brothers John Romesser and U.S. Army Sgt. Richard Romesser; Granddaughters Lillian Rose Irene Kilner and Sara Nicole Kilner.

 

Bernadine enjoyed Bird-watching, nature walks and berry picking. She also was a tour guide at Beaver Meadow and a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

 

She is survived by her loving husband Tracy W. Matteson; children Jeffery Matteson of Wyoming, David (Shelley) Matteson of Depew, Laura (Charles) Kilner of Corfu; grandchildren: Jeffery (Nicole)Matteson, Chris (Maegan) Matteson, Jessica Matteson, Marc (Heather) Matteson, Nicholas Kilner, Victoria Kilner, Timothy Kilner, Maverick Kilner; great-grandchildren Jacob Matteson, Chelsey Matteson, Baby A Matteson, Baby B Matteson; siblings AnnaMay (late Walt) Allenbrandt, Lorraine (Robert) Stubley, Gerald (Patricia) Romesser, Edward (Janet) Romesser, Anthony (Sylvia) Romesser, Carl (Anne) Romesser; sister-in-law Jan Romesser; aunt Rosemary Reding along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday May 22, 2015 from 3PM – 7PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday May 23, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Church 1230 Clinton Street Attica, New York 14011. She will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
