Robert Raymond Bachorski

Stafford - Robert Raymond Bachorski, 80, of Stafford, passed away Sunday (June 28, 2015) at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Bob was born April 13, 1935 in Batavia, a son of the late Chester S. and Pauline (Burke) Bachorski.

Bob was a 1953 graduate of Batavia High School, life member of the Stafford Fire Department, member of the Masonic Lodge – Olive Branch #39 in LeRoy, a member of the National Guard, carpenter by trade, longtime construction foreman and former owner/operator along with his wife, Elaine, of the Stafford Trading Post, as well as several successful small business ventures.

Bob lived life to its fullest, participating in activities such as boating, fishing and farming Stonehedge Farm.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine Marie Bachorski of Stafford, along with six children, Robert Gerald (Laura) Bachorski of Alabama, Richard (Pauline) Bachorski of Albion, Karen Joyce of Akron, Lea Ellen (Joseph) Mancuso of Erie, PA, James John (Rose) Bachorski of Oakfield and Christine (Thomas) Hendershot of South Alabama; eighteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob is predeceased by his grandson, Allen Bachorski and a brother, Chester Bachorski.  

Calling hours are Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia.  Bob’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia.  Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery, Stafford.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
