An artistic person and animal lover, Janice was a capable and hard-working homemaker, farm wife; and retired Certified Nurse's Aide at the Genesee County Nursing Home, Batavia.  She showed fortitude in life, and made substantial personal sacrifices for her children and grandchildren.  In retirement, at her home on the corner of Hopkins Rd. in East Pembroke, Janice enjoyed flower gardening, the company of her pet dog, watching her TV “slop opera,” and completing the Daily's crossword puzzle.  A cherished Mom, she will be sorely missed by her family, and is wished God's blessings.  No funeral hours are scheduled.  A prayer, “Safely Home” saved and previously read at Janice's maternal grandfather, the Reverend Clyde Dire Knapp's funeral will be read at her graveside.  Her remains will be buried in the Brainard Cemetery, Attica, NY.  Memorials in Janice's honor may be made to Warsaw Home Care and Hospice, to the American Heart Association, or to the ASPCA.
