EDWARD C. WYDER ~ Akron 

Age 85, died peacefully on Monday January 29, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital with his son, Thad L. Cotter by his side. He was born October 4, 1932 in Akron, NY a son of the late Anthony and Bronislawa (Piotrowski) Wyder also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wyder, Sr.                                                                         

Edward graduated from Akron High School and owned and operated the Wyder family farm in Alabama Center for many years. Upon his marriage to Joyce, he joined her in owning and operating her business, Joyce's Racing Silks until his retirement. Ed enjoyed fishing with his brother and collecting knives. 

Surviving is his beloved wife of 45 years, Joyce L. (Mattocks) Wyder of Akron; son/daughter-in-law and caretakers, Thad L. (Marites) Cotter of Akron, 3 step-children, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Stanley Wyder of Batavia and Victoria Graves of Akron along with several nieces and nephews. 

Per Ed's wishes there is no prior visitation and funeral services will be held privately by the family. Memorial contributions in his memory are suggested to the family and he will be laid to rest in the Wyder family plot at Grand View Cemetery.
