Floyd Meiser

Floyd Meiser (87) died peacefully on January 30, 2018 at his home in Venice, Florida with his family by his side.

Floyd was born on June 9, 1930 in Indian Falls, New York. He was the son of Loren and Beulah Meiser. Floyd served in the Air Force.  

He married his loving wife, Virginia (Jean) Meiser (nee Geitner). They celebrated their 64th anniversary in June 2017. They resided in Oakfield, New York where he and his brother, Leo Meiser, ran Meiser Chevrolet, a successful business that was founded by their father, Loren Meiser. After retiring from business in 1978 Floyd pursued his passions -- golf, travel and family. 

Floyd is preceded in death by his brother Leo Meiser and his sister Alice Childs.

Floyd is survived by his wife Virginia (Jean) Meiser, daughters Jeri Thomas (Ron), Barbara Stracener and his son Larry Meiser (Donneda). Floyd will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Becky, Misty, Melanie, Bethany, Nadia, Sheri, Evan, Christopher, Phillip and eight great-grandchildren.

At Floyd's request there will be no services or calling hours. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Flowers are gratefully declined.

A private burial will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla.
