Oakfield- Mr. Stephen A. Allen, 62, of Oakfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 19, 2018 at United Memorial Medical Center.
Steve began his career at Cummings & Bricker in 1973 as a welder and was their current warehouse manager. He loved being out in nature and spent much time fishing, boating, hiking and walking. Over the past five years he became an avid bird watcher and enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Steve enjoyed watching classic films on Turner Classic Movies and like going out to listen to live music.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kim M. Ash Allen; his sons, Eric Allen and Jared Allen, both of Oakfield; his brother, Scott (Cheri) Allen of Elba; his sister, Debby (David) Westland of Barre and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, David Allen.
Friends may call on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will follow visitation at 5 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba.
