Clayton A. Thompson

Pavilion ~ Clayton A. Thompson, age 77, of Starr Road, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday (February 21, 2018) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

     He was born April 18, 1940 in Pavilion, a son of the late Clayton and Helen Kelso Thompson.

     Clayton will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, who was devoted to his family, especially his wife, Colleen, who he provided care to for over 20 years prior to her passing in 2015.  He was a proud Marine veteran, a member of the American Legion in LeRoy for over 44 years and a member of the Pavilion Fire Dept. for many years.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing and gardening. He canned and made great salsa.

     He is survived by his children, JoAnn Thompson of Wyoming, Steve "Tiny" (Michelle) Thompson of Pavilion, Ron (Shelley) Thompson of Bethany and Mickey (Al) Lynk of Wyoming; grandchildren, Randi, Mitchell, Eric, Crystal (Anthony), Sara, Connor and Kristen; siblings, Marlene Wood of Prattsburg, James (Smiley) Thompson of Pavilion, Loretta Draper of Holley, Gary (Marge) Thompson of FL and Bill (Linda) Thompson of Pavilion, along with many nieces and nephews.  In addtion to his parents and wife, Colleen Connolly Thompson, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Thompson.

     Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 3 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where his Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., followed by military honors.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either the Pavilion Fire Dept. or the American Legion in LeRoy.
