James A. Yamonaco

  James A. Yamonaco, 70 of Leicester, passed away on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at his home. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 10, 1947 a son to Minnie D. (Valente) Yamonaco of Leicester and the late Anthony F. Yamonaco.

Jim served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Buffalo Crushed Stone where he was the Port Director for Buffalo retiring in 2007. After retirement he returned back to work for a few years working for American Rock Salt Co. in Mt. Morris. Jim enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was the rock of the family, always willing to help someone in need; his biggest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife: Deborah (Collings) Yamonaco whom he married on September 5, 1970, 2 daughters: October “Tobie” (Jack) VanDewalker of Livonia, Kellie Estruch of Mt. Morris, a son: Brian (Katie) Schor of Honeoye Falls, his mother: Minnie Yamonaco of Leicester, 2 sisters: Barb (Phil) Noble of Venice, FL., Toni Ann (Fred “Cutch”) Teresa of Leicester, a brother: Richard (Kristie) Yamonaco of Venice, FL., 7 grandchildren: Shawnee (Jake Fox) VanDewalker, Jenna VanDewalker, Gracyn (Justin Wray) Estruch, Jacob VanDewalker, Parker Estruch, Addie and Austin Schor, along with many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Family and friends may call from 4:00-8:00PM on Friday April 20, 2018 at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main Street Perry, New York 14530. A 10:00AM Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday April 21st at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Leicester Cemetery in Leicester, NY.
