  Ernest R. Carney, 66, of Rochester, formerly of Attica passed away on April 23, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1952 in Warsaw to the late Raymond Carney and Lenabelle “Babe” (Bailey) Stangrover of Cowlesville.

In addition to his mother, Ernie is survived by his sons; John Carney of West Seneca, NY,  Robert (Jennifer) Carney of Piffard NY,  Shawn (Gina) Carney of Ann Arbor, MI., Patrick (Lissa) Carney of Hollywood, FL., his mother Babe (Brad) Stangrover of Cowlesville, NY.; his brothers Richard (Doreen) Carney of Bennington, NY. , Donald Carney of Saylorsburg, PA, Garry (Lori) Carney of Pen Argyle PA., Greg (Renee) Carney of Lake Milton, OH.; his 13 Grandchildren Kaitlin, Ashley, Madison, Annabelle, Emily, Abigail,  Ryan, Clayton, Jack, Shannon, Rose, Tara and Bailey.

Ernie worked at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital for many years. Previously he had been a milk hauler at Carney and Fugle Milk Hauling. He also volunteered at UR after his retirement advising and counseling heart failure patients. Ernie's favorite thing to do was watch his grandchildren's activities. 

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday April 29, 2018 from 1:00-4:00PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. A 4:00PM Celebration of Life will immediately follow visitation at the Funeral Home. Ernie will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery on Monday April 30th at 10:00AM.
