Sharon K. Gebel

Sharon K. Gebel, 79, of North Java passed away on July 8, 2018 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born on December 20, 1938 in Lackawanna, NY to the late Martin and Pauline (Wild) VanSickle. She is also predeceased by her first husband; Lavern Grover.

Sharon was the founder of Little Paws Cat Control, a former member of the SPCA and a friend of the New Start Kitty Shelter. She was passionate about nature and her gardens. Sharon will forever be remembered as a beloved Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband; John Gebel; children David (Robin) Grover of Wilmington, NC., Kenneth Grover of Java Center and Susan Grover of Warsaw; siblings Mary Hildenbrant of N. Java, Margaret Hauser of Eden, Thomas VanSickle of Eden, Francis (Cathy) VanSickle of Newfane and Robert (Sharon) VanSickle of VA; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 4-8PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. An 11:00AM Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 13^th at Sts. Joachim & Anne Parish 2311 Attica St. Varysburg, NY 14617. Sharon will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Sheldon.
