Boots Daniel E. Plath, 65 of Batavia, passed away on August 29, 2015 at United Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on January 18, 1950 in Batavia, to the late William (Marian Borkman) Plath. Mr. Plath is preceded in death by his brother David Plath.

Boots previously worked at Crown Cork & Seal in Grand Prairie, Texas; he was a member of the United Rubber Workers Union. He was a graduate of Batavia High School. Boots is a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam as a heavy artillery operator. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and swimming.

He is survived by his loving wife JoAnn Palaszynski-Fisher-Plath of Batavia, son Mitchell Plath of Colorado Springs, CO, step son Dan'l Fisher of Batavia, step daughter Kelly Fisher of Hawaii. Brother Alan (Deborah) Plath of LeRoy, sisters Alice (the late Paul) Martino of California, Gracia Leavy and Cathy Chatt both of Batavia, brothers in law Roger Palaszynski of Batavia, Ronald Palaszynski of Stafford, sister in law Nancy Plath of Batavia along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Friday September 4, 2015 from 10AM to 12PM  at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Funeral Services will take place following calling hours at 12 Noon.
