Barbara Mikolajczyk

Oakfield - Barbara Mikolajczyk, 78, of Oakfield, passed away suddenly on Friday, (October 2, 2015) at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia.

Mrs. Mikolajczyk was born April 29, 1937 in Geneva, a  daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Alexander) Grower.

Barb was a long time member of St. Padre Pio Parish and attended mass at St. Cecelia's Church.  She enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with her family.  Most of all, she loved her cat and socializing.

She is the wife of the late Frank J. Mikolajczyk, Jr., who passed away March 22, 2015.

Barbara is survived by her children, Michael Mikolajczyk of Chili, Mark (Shelly) Mikolajczyk of Oakfield, Teresa (Robert) Castleman of S. Alabama, and Thomas (Kimberly) Mikolajczyk of Oakfield; grandchildren, Jillian (Dennis) DeMarco of Oakdale, Long Island, Bradley (Natalie) Mikolajczyk of Perinton, Christopher Castleman of Akron, Holly Castleman of S. Alabama, Benjamin Castleman of Batavia, Alyssa Mikolajczyk of Oakfield, Tyler Schroeder of Oakfield, Morgan Mikolajczyk of Batavia, Austin Schroeder and Devon Schroeder both of Oakfield; great-grandchildren, Logan DeMarco, Haley DeMarco, and Kailynn Worthington; a brother, Donald (late Patricia) Grower of Elba; sisters-in-law, Onolee Grower of Batavia, and Julia (Wilbur) Easton of Oakfield.  Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Grower.

Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield.  Barbara’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, (October 6, 2015) at St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecilia's Worship Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
