Town of Bethany holds Food Link event at Bethany Community Center, no income requirement or restrictions

The Town of Bethany will have a Food Link event from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at the Bethany Community Center, located at 10510 Bethany Center Road in East Bethany. There are NO INCOME REQUIREMENTS OR RESTRICTIONS. Anyone wishing to volunteer, please contact Ellen Stanton at (585) 219-4054.

Free Mobile Food Pantry

First Presbyterian Church of Elba, 23 North Main St, Elba, NY is holding a free mobile food pantry on Thursday, June 29 and again on Wednesday, August 2 from 5 PM to 7 PM.  Fresh produce, baked goods, packaged food will be provided by FoodLink of Rochester.  The exact food items available are not known, but fresh produce will be available.  There is no income verification required and no ID is necessary, but you must be 18 years old to pick up food from the pantry.  Please provide your own bags/cart/vehicle to transport items to your home.

Kiwanis Club of Batavia’s 59th annual Pancake Days, this year at St. Joseph School

The Kiwanis Club of Batavia will host its 59th annual Pancake Days on Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. Joseph School. The school is located at 2 Summit St. in the City of Batavia. Time is 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meal is fully served and includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and beverages. Cost is $6 for adults; $4 for children 10 and under; $4 for seniors age 62 and over.

Annual Roast Beef Supper to benefit Historical Society of Elba

The annual Roast Beef Supper to benefit the Historical Society of Elba will be held this Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Elba Firemen’s Rec Hall on Route 98 at the corner of Route 262. Takeouts available starting at 4:30; serving begins at 5. Basket raffles starts at 6. Cost is $9.50 adults, ages 5 to 12, $4.50, and 5 and under FREE. Call for reservations — June R. at 585-757-2791.

YWCA’s annual traditional Harvest Supper served at North Street headquarters, take-outs available

YWCA of Genesee County will hold its annual traditional Harvest Supper 4 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6. Takeouts available. The supper is a way to highlight the area’s agricultural industry with hearty soups, stew, crusty breads, fresh fruit desserts and many other items that highlight ingredients provided by local farms and ag producers. Cost is $8.

St. Padre Pio annual Oktoberfest

Annual Oktoberfest celebration featuring our famous “Piggy Platter” which includes a pulled pork sandwich, salt potatoes, coleslaw a beverage and dessert for only $7.00. Royal Tea Party at Senior Center to benefit GC CASA for Children

Genesee County CASA for Children will host a Royal Tea Party on Saturday Aug. 20th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Genesee County Senior Center, 2 Bank St. in Batavia. Guests will have the opportunity to meet, take pictures and receive autographs from Queen Elsa, Princess Belle and Princess Ariel. Tea and light refreshments will be served and guests will be able to decorate their very own crowns!
