All proceeds will support area patients and families and will help us to continue our mission of “Today, make a difference.”

The event will include wine/beer tasting, music, dancing, canvas painting, wine glass painting, a basket raffle and a cash bar. The Art of Mandy will sponsor the painting festivities.

A Gust of Sun Winery, Deer Run Winery, Wright Beverage Distributing and Eli Fish Brewing Co. will also be sponsoring the event.

Tickets are $55 per person or $100 per couple. You must be 21 years of age to register for the event. Anyone under the age of 21 will not be admitted. Please bring a valid ID.

Volunteers are still needed to help with setup, cleanup and various onsite duties.

Volunteers, especially drivers, needed for hospice foundation's spring bouquet sale https://www.thebatavian.com/billie-owens/volunteers-especially-drivers-needed-hospice-foundations-spring-bouquet-sale/35856 Winter may still have Western New York in its grip, but the HomeCare & Hospice Guild is looking for some extra hands to help provide an early taste of spring.

To make the event a success, volunteers are needed help sort flowers on March 3 or deliver flowers on March 4 and 5 to businesses that have pre-sale orders or even assist with on-site sales beginning March 5.

The guild is celebrating 19 years of flower power and members plan on distributing Traditional Spring Bouquets ($8) and Bouquets of Hope ($16) throughout Genesee and Wyoming, Allegany, and Cattaraugus counties.

Proceeds will benefit the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation.

Drivers for flower delivery are the greatest need. Anyone who can volunteer to help should contact Linda Cummings at 585-343-7596 or 1-877-277-2615.

More than 650 spring bouquets were sold in Genesee and Wyoming counties during the pre-sale period for 18th annual event, which benefits the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation, according to Linda Cummings, development director (top photo).

Volunteers from Notre Dame and Pembroke high schools and Batavia Kiwanis were at the First Presbyterian Church in Batavia today to help get the arrangements in buckets and boxes and properly marked for deliver on Monday.

If you didn't get your order in on time, there's still plenty of opportunity to make a purchase.

On-site sales will take place:

  • Noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Batavia Downs
  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, UMMC
  • Noon to 3 p.m., Wednesday, and noon to 5 p.m., Thursday, at the Bank of Castile
  • Noon to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday at First Niagara Bank.

Traditional bouquets are $8 and the Bouquet of Hope is $16.
