By Wittnes Smith

React4Youth is opening a new Creative Youth Center at The Harvester Center, 56 Harvester Ave. in Batavia on Monday October 7th. The center’s mission is to offer young people interested in recording music, DJ'ing, producing music, acting, modeling, photography and video production an accessible creative outlet in the city.

React4Youth is for youth (ages 12-22) in the Batavia and surrounding areas with a goal of opening a space where youth can explore creative opportunities. The project has positively influenced teens through social media, art, outreach, advocacy and educational workshops. React4Youth hopes to achieve a higher profile in the community through initiatives such as the Creative Center that stress the engagement of youth in creative media. The center will provide young people with a safe space to create with adult supervision.

React4Youth also hosts workshops for teens which give them a platform to speak out about topics they are faced with in todays society.
