Buffalo man hospitalized after assault following Toby Keith concert at Darien Lake

By Billie Owens

A 30-year-old Buffalo resident was hospitalized Sunday night after an assault following the Toby Keith concert at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center. Police have not released the victim's name.

According to Genesee County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble, there was a confrontation between the victim and another individual in the parking lot prior to concert. Later, inside the venue, a physical altercation occurred between the two parties. Then around 10:30 p.m., a third confrontation took place in the parking lot and the victim reported being beaten by several individuals.

This resulted in the victim being flown by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, primarily because of possible head injuries. The victim was released today.

Law enforcement sources said the assault was initially reported as a person injured due to falling from a pickup truck. But investigation revealed the person allegedly punched someone in the concert venue and later that person and the person's friends found the Buffalo resident and allegedly assaulted him.

Investigators are working to identify the suspects and gather evidence. No names or additional details are being released at this time.

Act stupid, get whooped. Probably going to catch a bunch of shit for this but, sometimes some people just need a good beating to correct their poor behavior forever.

"sometimes some people just need a good beating to correct their poor behavior forever."

And I suppose a woman just needs a good raping to correct her poor choice of clothing?

Sure seems to be a lot of assuming going on here.
As the story reads, at this point, it's impossible to say who was the instigator (or, mutual combatant, either).

As some out there appear to lack an imagination, let me offer up a possible scenario.

Tom goes to the concert. He's not going there to fight. He abhors fighting. But, if pushed into it, he WILL defend himself.
As Tom is walking thru the parking lot, some guy (we'll call him Bozo) has just gotten his cell phone out of his car trunk, and 'spins' around, and Tom accidently bumps into him. Bozo's phone gets knocked outta his hand, landing on the ground.
Bozo starts yelling at Tom. "Watch where you're going, A-hole! What the H...? D'ya think you own the whole parking lot?"
Tom says, "I'm sorry, guy. I didn't mean to bump into you. It was an accident. Sorry!"
That's the first 'confrontation'. They part and go their own ways.

That should be the end of it. As far as Tom figures it, that IS the end of it. It WAS an accident. He didn't mean to run into Bozo, and he apologized (for something that wasn't really his fault, mind you).

But, Bozo ain't about to let it go that easy. Over the next hour or so, Bozo has a couple beers - and stews about the confrontation. Eventually, Bozo sees Tom, and confronts him again. Again, Tom says that it was an accident, but, Bozo ain't letting it slide. He swings at Tom, but Tom ducks and Bozo (now, a little 'sauced') falls down. Bozo stands up and starts to swing again, but Tom sees it coming, and plants his OWN fist squarely in Bozo's face. Bozo goes down, and Tom walks away. He's done nothing but defend himself.

Again, that should've been the end of it. But, Bozo ain't dropping it. And, he's gonna make SURE he wins the next one. He gets his buddies to help. The three find Tom and beat the crap outta him.

I'm not saying that it really happened that way. Just that it COULD have.
Trust me. There ARE people out there that 'get off' on bullying and/or fighting. And, likewise, there ARE some out there that, if they can't handle the fight by themselves, are more than happy to make it a lopsided fight. If you think I'm kidding, just go to youtube and type in 'neighborhood fight'. What starts out as what should be a one-on-one fight can, and often DOES, become a 3 or 4-on-one beatdown.

What a fool you are. A rape never solved anything. Violence does NOT solve everything, but it DOES solve a minority of problems, because some people only understand violence. If violence didnt solve some issues, we would still be in the midst of ww2.
