Moe, Larry and Curley may be dead but theys ain't fergotten

By Billie Owens

Overheard on the scanner, this important reminder, blurted out of the blue (without context) and given no reply...

"The Three Stooges died years ago!"

In case anybody wondered...

John Woodworth JR

My favorite was Curly. Did not like Shemp or Joe. I still see them on TV Land every once in awhile. Three Stooges are a forever classic!

No i don't care about the three stooges, must be Howard ran out of barn pictures.
I would think that there may be more important news. With all the discussions on here about shop local, why hasn't there been any coverage of the JC's expo???? Our JC's trying to regroup and provide a venue for local business to show get some attention and talk one on one with potential customers. I read the batavian every day, and the first i knew about the expo was driving into town and seeing the banner. Something is rotten in Denmark [Oh Yeah at Oatka too!!!} Howard,,,,, why did you purposely ignore this Bit of local news????

Eric, the scanner tidbit, like all scanner tidbits, is not intended to be news. It's just goofy stuff I put up BECAUSE I CAN. If you don't like it, ignore it. It does not take the place of real news, we always have room for that. As for Howard running out of barn photos, that will never happen. He is tied up elsewhere at the moment with something important and serious. As for him "purposely ignoring" news, that's baloney.

Billy,, I really don't care about the 3 stooges, it was just a quick and easy way to get noticed. If the lack of news about the Expo was not intentional, how did it slip thru the cracks? I as a local business owner, i have to wonder, was it not newsworthy???

Of course, the JC's Expo is/would be newsworthy but I received no press release or other information about it. Can't write about something you don't know about. The squeeky wheel gets the grease. It's funny, sometimes people assume you know everything.

John, that proves my point, you don't know either. The "Junior Chamber Of Commerce" Is trying to bring back a similar trade type show like the old homeshow. They are trying to help our local buisness owners, and the buying public, by offering a more reasonable [FREE] version of the old homeshow. It is at the infamous downtown mall, you will recognize it when you get inside by the 5 gal buckets every where catching water from the still leaking roof. It is this weekend Sat, 10-7 Sun. 11-5 Hopefully 40 or so local hard working business owners trying to get the word out. Now give me a break!!! and don't insult me by saying the Batavian didn't know about it, and consider it worth investigating, thats BULL. There John is my take on this.thx
