Person in black Chevy Silverado said to have tossed cat out the window

By Billie Owens

A person reportedly tossed a cat out of the window of a moving vehicle in the vicinity of Darien Lake Theme Park. The vehicle is said to be a 2002 black Chevy Silverado registered to a Corfu resident. The vehicle was last seen heading west on Route 33. Law enforcement is searching for it now.

UPDATE 6:41 p.m.: The complainant told an officer that the cat was tossed out the driver's side window, north of the theme park's camping entrance. It was white, and it rolled a few times and then ran off. Someone is looking for it to check its well being and officers are still searching for the Silverado.

UPDATE 7:03 p.m.: A State Trooper found the suspect and interviewed her. The woman said that the cat is hers and that "it was underneath her car and not thrown." The Trooper is back in service. No word on whether the cat was found or if the owner is going back to try and retrieve her pet.

How does a cat come rolling out from under a moving truck and run off. How did she know it was under the truck? If she saw it come flying out from under the truck (she said she knew it was under there), why didn't she stop to check to see if it was alright?

Um, somebody help me understand this?

The cat was under the owners pickup and got randomly thrown into the road. Where can a cat be under a motor vehicle and the just get dropped off at random?

Well the State Police know who the woman is, they know where she lives and she admitted the pet was hers. So hopefully the cat was found and assessed and she will be charged with cruelty. No cat stays under or inside a vehicle after it has started, let alone when it is moving. So I call BS on her story too. The witness saw the animal thrown from the window, on the drivers side. That's pretty specific.

As for the cat I hope she is made fully responsible but under no circumstances should the cat be returned. She was obviously stupid enough to be caught dumping the cat once. I am of the opinion that she is stupid enough to try to kill it then dump it next time as she obviously doesn't care.

From what I understand, this cat is part of an elite Feline Paramilitary group bent on taking over the world.

What the individual at Darien Lake saw was a training mission.

From the way my cats act towards other cats, mine must be NSA spies for humans as they hate all other cats and pamper us humans in our house.

It is not likely the witness confused seeing the cat being thrown out the window, with tumbling from underneath. She was probably getting rid of it. I grew up working on a farm, and there were actually a few times the barn cats would crawl up in the engine compartments. Usually they ran out as soon as the engine started. A few took short rides. One took a 5 mile ride to town and was heard crying once there. So it was put in the cab and returned in comfort. The unlucky ones didn't make it past the belt. Its not as far fetched as most of you are claiming. Other than that, I think this lady was full of BS also.
