Batavia woman sought by FBI in connection with alleged drug dealing in Erie County

posted by Howard B. Owens in batavia, crime.

A Batavia woman is reportedly wanted by the FBI in connection with an alleged heroin and cocaine ring being run inside two strip clubs in Erie County.

The FBI is encouraging anybody who knows the whereabouts of Cynthia Sims to call the police.

According to WGRZ, several law enforcement agencies were involved over the past year in investigating the alleged drug dealing at the clubs.

The clubs were identified as Rick's Tally Ho in Cheektowaga and 24k Gold in Hamburg.

WGRZ reports that the owners of the clubs say they had no idea that drug dealing was going on at their establishments.

"WGRZ reports that the owners of the clubs had no idea the drug dealing was going on at their establishments." I sure am glad this drug dealing was caught. It's despicable that people would try to sully the image of these fine establishments by introducing such seedy activity. These poor club owners are just trying to provide good clean wholesome entertainment for the community and right under their noses some low life tries to sell drugs in the place! "According to WGRZ, several law enforcement agencies were involved over the past year in investigating the alleged drug deal at the clubs." It is also good to see that "several" law enforcement agencies were able to put aside territorial issues to get inside these clubs and root out the unseemly activity!
Don't they sell Bibles at Rick's Tally Ho or some other religious merchandise? :-)

I have heard that a lot of the girls working in those clubs are college students trying to earn money for books and tuition. Anyone know if that's true?

Perhaps the Batavian could file an investigative story on the matter from Byron.

It is good to see that there are many organizations and people who are working together to get this taken care of and cleaned up. Did the owner really not know that this was happening? I guess it is possible.
