Lightning over Batavia, and more to come

By Howard B. Owens

I shot the video this morning and just happened to catch a single lightning bolt and a little thunder.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for this afternoon at 12:10 p.m. and then canceled the warning at 12:35 p.m.  A thunderstorm watch remains in place. The watch extends until 7 p.m. (meaning, the bad weather, we hope, will pass in time for Muckdogs baseball at Dwyer and the Ghost Riders at Jackson St. Square.)

Lucille, if the light is red, you're required to stop before turning.

The thing I don't know is if southbound Bank turns red at the same time as northbound Center, but note that the northbound light is fully red before the driver reaches Main.

I see what you mean now Howard, I saw the red car turn but didn't pay attention to the next one that did and they cruised right through. They may be set up so that one side turns red before the other as other lights down Main St. do.

Ok.. so now the task is for someone to go and see if both sides are red at the same time.

Thanks for playing the trivia.. I watched again and man My count kept getting messed up!

Howard what kind of camera do you have? It takes awesome video!
