Photo: Giant storm puddle on Tracy Avenue

By Howard B. Owens

Richard Stevens, left, runs through a giant rain puddle on Tracy Avenue, with his dog, some neighbor dogs and a neighbor's boy.

The flooded street is now reportedly drained.

Below, a reader submitted the photo showing the flood waters outside Aldi's on East Main Street.

Wow..arrest him for breaking the leash law? that's pretty pathetic! Dogs need fun too. How can you even say that when its been so insanely hot out. Always someone wants to be a jerk. Oh btw Mr Thompson, that would be a violation of city code. Nice try though!

Actually, those are my 2 dogs in the picture, not his. And I highly doubt the cops cared that my dogs were running without leashes on, seeing as the front of my house was flooded! They had a blast, and cooled off after this intense heat wave. And I agree, that guy needs a some steak!

T Brewer don't you just love the 1st Amendment,I was going to post-- "I wish you would refrain from classifying me as a jerk"you do not know anything about me or what I believe.
Than I thought is this the same T Brewer that thinks someone that has been arrested five times for various crimes is extremely intelligent?Wow! I'm truly sorry because I really don't think I could possible live up to your expectations :)
Guess I'll just have to be happy in the "Always someone wants to be a jerk" Category as it sure beats being put on your Extremely Intelligent List!
